Spring 2024 begins on Tues., Jan. 16, 2024. Summer 2024 has multiple start terms. Fall 2024 begins on Mon., Aug. 19, 2024. If you don’t have a class scheduled for the first day of classes, then you don’t have to come to campus or log into your class. Hooray! Be sure to bookmark the Important Dates page for more information about the academic calendar.
You can find your printable schedule in . Go to Student > Courses and Registration > View or Print Course Schedule and Purchase Textbooks. Pro-tip: An “R” on your scheduled meet times stands for Thursday.

Ideally, yes. To find out what books you need for your classes, go to > Student > Courses and Registration > View or Print Course Schedule and Purchase Textbooks. You’ll want to make sure you have all materials marked required. If a book is recommended, email the professor or wait until the first day of class before purchasing.
We do not have a physical bookstore in Burton or Twinsburg. Barnes and Noble is the official bookstore of 鶹ý, and students receive free shipping on textbooks. You can also visit the at the Kent Campus.
Stop by the Student Services Office during the first week of classes to have your FlashCard printed. If you are a 100%-online student who is not able to pick up your card at a Kent State campus, you can fill out the Flashcard Distance Learning Application (PDF). Once it has been completed please email the application, a notarized copy of an official state photo ID or Passport to flashcard@kent.edu. Then upload a photo at using the sidebar links.
Log in to and go to Student > Tuition and Payments > Print a Statement of Student Account. To avoid having classes dropped from your schedule, pay your bill by the due date. To pay your bill, go to Student > Tuition and Payments > Make an Online Payment (use credit card or checking/savings account).

鶹ý uses Canvas to deliver online courses. To access Canvas, go to www.kent.edu/canvas or log in to your account and click the Canvas icon in the upper right.
Visit Student Accessibility Services and set up a welcome meeting with an SAS representative.
Log in to your account and click on Settings. You can update all kinds of information there and even add a picture of yourself if you wish.
Log in to and click on Student in the left-hand sidebar. Then scroll to Requests and Authorizations and click on Chosen Name Request.
Most majors do not require any special hardware or software. You can check the Technology Requirements page. All Kent State students get a free subscription to Microsoft Office 365 and have access to Google Drive as part of their email.
There are no residence halls at the Geauga Campus or Twinsburg Academic Center. All of our students commute to campus using their own transportation.
No! Parking is free at both campus locations, and no permit is required. If you have classes at the Kent Campus, you will be subject to their parking regulations.
