Having previously won the title of France's "greenest city" and being located in the Jura mountains, Besançon is a wonderful place to explore while attending the Université de Franche-Comté. Besançon's history dates back to Roman times. The Roman road still leads to the city, not far from Switzerland. Besançon has a variety of cultural activities including museums, theaters and concerts and offers an excellent location for students wishing to fully immerse themselves in French history and culture. Université de Franche-Comté is a multidisciplinary university and welcomes international students in all fields. You will be learning alongside French students in regular classes.
