KENTLINGUA
KentLingua is the organization of graduate students enrolled in the M.A. and Ph.D. in translation programs at kent state university.
KentLingua's objectives include helping graduate students in translation make the most of the programs in which they are enrolled and acting as a liaison between students and the MCLS Department. KentLingua seeks to meet these objectives through:
- Mentoring of first-year graduate students by second-year students
- Organizing professional and social events for graduate students.
- Helping students obtain internships in language industry companies
- Establishing and maintaining a network of current students and alumni
- Ensuring ongoing communication between students and the Modern and Classical Language Studies Department
KentLingua was officially recognized in September 2000. Its members are graduate students in Translation, and Literature & Culture. They come from around the world.
