Kent State Museum Hosts "Millie" Preview, Flapper Lecture

Feb. 17 event features 1920s fashion lecture by Sara Hume and preview excerpt from Thoroughly Modern MillieThe 鶹ý Museum and School of Theatre and Dance are teaming up to present a unique event celebrating the perennial glamor and allure of the 1920s.

This special program on Feb. 17 is presented in conjunction with the museum’s “Flapper Style: 1920s Fashion” exhibit and Kent State’s production of “Thoroughly Modern Millie.” The event will include a short preview of “Thoroughly Modern Millie” by members of the cast, followed by a talk by “Flapper Style” curator Sara Hume, Ph.D. Light refreshments will be served.

The event will take place Wednesday, February 17 at 2 p.m. in the museum’s Murphy Auditorium. Tickets are $10 per person. To register, please call Mary Gilbert at 330-672-0300.
