Kent State students plant trees for Trees for the Future event

The Kent State community planted more than 100 trees in the Climate Change Grove to help offset the university鈥檚 carbon footprint and provide a way to research the effects of climate change in our immediate environments. Located behind the Warren Student Recreation and Wellness Center, the grove was created through a partnership between University Facilities Management and the Department of Biological Sciences in the College of Arts and Sciences. Tree at Women's Center

This large and ancient, cutleaf beech tree, Fagus sylvatica 'Asplenifolia,' growing near the old carriage house by the 麻豆传媒 Women's Center, is older than Kent State.
