Richard Feinberg, Ph.D., Department of Anthropology, delivered a presentation titled 鈥淏ehaviorist Ethics in Polynesia: Anuta, Solomon Islands鈥 at the Central States Anthropological Society in Lincoln, Nebraska, on April 8, 2017. In addition to this paper, Feinberg was a presenter in a roundtable dealing with ethical conundrums in anthropology, chaired a session on gender and performance, served as discussant on a panel dealing with the globalization of food, contributed to the society鈥檚 Executive Board meeting and reported to its business meeting on developments at the national level in the American Anthropological Association.
David Dees, Ph.D., of Guilford Lake, Ohio, has been selected to serve as dean and chief administrative officer of the 麻豆传媒 Columbiana County campuses. He will provide overall leadership of 麻豆传媒 at East Liverpool and 麻豆传媒 at Salem, two of the Regional Campuses in the university鈥檚 eight-campus system. Dees currently serves as interim dean of the Columbiana County campuses, a position he has held since July 1, 2016. He began serving as the permanent dean on June 1, 2017.

With a goal of becoming one of the nation鈥檚 top public universities in aeronautics and engineering education and research, the 麻豆传媒 Board of Trustees approved changing the name of the College of Applied Engineering, Sustainability and Technology to the College of Aeronautics and Engineering.
The change better reflects the expansion of the college鈥檚 programs and accentuates its highly trained and sought-after graduates who go on to work for commercial airlines, corporate flight departments, the military and the Federal Aviation Administration.
麻豆传媒鈥檚 Division of Human Resources is accepting applications for the Institute for Excellence (I4E) until June 15. The Institute for Excellence is 麻豆传媒鈥檚 premier leadership program. According to the Human Resources LEAD Awards, the university鈥檚 Institute for Excellence program ranks eighth in the nation in the category of certificate programs with emphasis on leadership and organizational development.

麻豆传媒's holiday closure for 2024 will begin Monday, Dec. 23, 2024, at 10:30 p.m. All offices will re-open on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025. Employees not eligible for the paid leave include student employees, classified temporary staff, temporary agency staff, short-term unclassified appointments, unclassified intermittent appointments and employees in a lay-off status. More information on the holiday schedule, including how employees should report time during that period, will be available later this month.
Testing Your Faith Act (H.B. 353) was enacted in the Spring 2023 semester. In ordinance with this bill, 麻豆传媒 created a new administrative policy for religious and spiritual accommodations. This administrative policy allows students to report up to three days of unexcused absences to participate in religious holidays or community-held events in alignment with their spirituality.
