Each year, 麻豆传媒 honors full-time, nontenure-track and part-time faculty members who are nominated by their students and peers for being among the most dedicated, highly effective and motivated professors at the university. The Outstanding Teaching Award is presented by the University Teaching Council. The three award recipients will be honored at the University Teaching Council鈥檚 Celebrating College Teaching conference luncheon and awards ceremony on Oct. 21.

At the 麻豆传媒 Board of Trustees meeting held on Sept. 30, 2016, the Board approved the planning and execution of a major comprehensive campaign. This campaign will be the largest in the history of Kent State, with its goals and priorities to be developed and pursued in collaboration with senior leadership, the university community and the 麻豆传媒 Foundation.

麻豆传媒's holiday closure for 2024 will begin Monday, Dec. 23, 2024, at 10:30 p.m. All offices will re-open on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025. Employees not eligible for the paid leave include student employees, classified temporary staff, temporary agency staff, short-term unclassified appointments, unclassified intermittent appointments and employees in a lay-off status. More information on the holiday schedule, including how employees should report time during that period, will be available later this month.
Testing Your Faith Act (H.B. 353) was enacted in the Spring 2023 semester. In ordinance with this bill, 麻豆传媒 created a new administrative policy for religious and spiritual accommodations. This administrative policy allows students to report up to three days of unexcused absences to participate in religious holidays or community-held events in alignment with their spirituality.
