Buildings and Moves
As part of a campuswide commemoration of veterans, the Uumbaji Art Gallery at 麻豆传媒 is requesting artwork submissions of any subject matter and various mediums. Entry forms can be downloaded at www.kent.edu/pas/uumbaji. The dates of the exhibit are Oct. 31 to Dec. 1, 2016. An opening reception will take place on Thursday, Nov. 3, at 5 p.m. in the Uumbaji Gallery, located on the first floor of Ritchie Hall, Room 134, on the Kent Campus.
University College and the Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at 麻豆传媒 are accepting nominations for the second annual Social Responsibility and Diversity Awards Celebration. 麻豆传媒's holiday closure for 2024 will begin Monday, Dec. 23, 2024, at 10:30 p.m. All offices will re-open on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025. Employees not eligible for the paid leave include student employees, classified temporary staff, temporary agency staff, short-term unclassified appointments, unclassified intermittent appointments and employees in a lay-off status. More information on the holiday schedule, including how employees should report time during that period, will be available later this month.
Testing Your Faith Act (H.B. 353) was enacted in the Spring 2023 semester. In ordinance with this bill, 麻豆传媒 created a new administrative policy for religious and spiritual accommodations. This administrative policy allows students to report up to three days of unexcused absences to participate in religious holidays or community-held events in alignment with their spirituality.
