Physical Education & Sport Performance

The Physical Education & Sport Performance program is among the best in the United States in preparing teachers who exemplify best practices in the PK-12 setting and professionals who promote high quality physical activity opportunities for individuals across the lifespan. The program offers three undergraduate degrees, two graduate degrees, one endorsement, and one minor, and places a strong emphasis on field experience, internships and professional development opportunities across all degree options.

Bachelor of Science Degree

A Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education includes three options: Physical Education Teacher Licensure, Health and Physical Education, and Physical Activity & Sport Performance.

Athletic Coaching Minor

Based on national coaching standards, this 25-credit hour minor provides students with the knowledge and skills to coach in youth sport settings, K-12 schools, and colleges.

Ohio Adapted Physical Education Endorsement (Graduate)

Â鶹´«Ã½ Physical Education & Sport Performance Teacher Education has been approved by the Ohio Board of Regents to offer the Ohio Adapted Physical Education teaching license endorsement. The endorsement consists of two graduate level courses (both offered 100% online).

Master of Arts in Teaching - Physical Education concentration

The Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) is a graduate-level program that prepares teacher candidates for initial licensure in Ohio and many other states. The MAT program is offered to recent bachelor and graduate degree holders, as well as career-changing professionals who now desire to become teachers.

Doctoral Program

The Doctoral Program in Curriculum & Instruction offers a concentration in Adapted Physical Education/Physical Education.
