Colleagues:
Â鶹´«Ã½ is participating in The Chronicle's Great Colleges to Work For program, a study designed to recognize institutions that have built great workplaces.
Part of the program involves an employee survey distributed to a sample of each institution's full-time faculty, administrators, exempt, and non-exempt staff. This survey was designed specifically for higher education. On March 16, 2015, the survey will be distributed to a random selection of Kent State employees. If you are included in this random sample, you will receive an email invitation encouraging you to take part in the survey.
If you receive the invitation, please take a moment to complete the survey. The results will be factored into the overall scoring process that will ultimately determine the institutions recognized. After The Chronicle of Higher Education publishes the findings this July, Â鶹´«Ã½ will receive a report that summarizes responses to the survey questions.
This is a confidential survey that measures the strength of certain organizational competencies and relationships that most directly impact and influence an institution's culture. Your participation and honest feedback are critical to the assessment process. To ensure confidentially of responses, surveys will be processed by ModernThink LLC, a research and consulting firm focusing on workplace excellence. Kent State will not be given any information that would enable us to trace survey data back to any one individual.
I encourage everyone's participation. A high response rate helps to ensure accurate results and demonstrates the commitment of our workforce.
Thank you in advance for your participation. Please contact Dr. Fashaad Crawford, Assistant Provost for Accreditation, Assessment and Learning, by email (fcrawfo1@kent.edu) or by phone at (330) 672-3930, or visit if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Todd A. Diacon, Ph.D.
Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost
