If you have been accused of sexual misconduct or sexual harassment, this may be a confusing and overwhelming time. Therefore, you will have access to assistance and support like the complainant (victim) throughout the process.

You need to know:

• Not every report results in a formal complaint (formal investigation)
• If an investigation begins, the outcome cannot be determined until a thorough examination of all the evidence has been completed.
• You will have the opportunity to provide your full account to the investigator(s).

Whom to contact with questions

• Contact our Title IX Team with any questions
• If you would like to learn more about the process or have an opportunity to speak with someone who is trained and familiar
• You can call or stop in without disclosing any personal information
• Additional information about the rights of the accuses (respondent) and the person reporting a sexual misconduct (complainant) is explained in the detailed policies and protocol.

Retaliation is Prohibited

• Please know retaliation against any person in a report (or investigation) of sexual misconduct including yourself, the person who submitted the report, or any witnesses is prohibited.
