The Kent Green Energy Ohio Tour will take place Saturday, Sept. 28, 2019, at multiple locations at 鶹ý and in the city of Kent, Ohio. This FREE self-guided open house is the 3rd Annual Kent Green Energy Ohio Tour and is part of the 17th Annual Green Energy Ohio Tour that highlights sites that are using innovative technologies that benefit the environment. While the 鶹ý Field House solar array has been a part of the Greater Akron Solar Tour in the past, this is the third year for multiple tour sites in Portage County. The Kent Clean Transportation Cruise-In showcases energy efficient, hybrid and electric vehicles, and is part of the Kent Creativity Festival. The Kent Green Energy Ohio Tour is a joint event coordinated by the 鶹ý Office of Sustainability, the city of Kent's Sustainability Commission and Green Energy Ohio.

ABOUT THE STATEWIDE 2019 GREEN ENERGY OHIO TOUR
This FREE statewide event features self-guided, guided or open house tours in each region of the state and highlights homes, businesses and public buildings that are using green technologies such as solar, wind, geothermal, green design, energy efficiency and more. Visit four of the KENT Green Energy Ohio Tour sites and enter to win a prize drawing! Pick up a passport at any tour site. Drop off completed passports at the Kent Clean Transportation Cruise-In, Office of Sustainability table for a chance to win a prize!

KENT CLEAN TRANSPORTATION CRUISE-IN 11A.M. - 3 P.M.
Part of the Kent Creativity Festival in KSU's R17 parking lot at the southeast corner of E. Main and S. Willow streets (near Starbucks) . Behind KSU Cutler Building 414 E. Main Street
This family-friendly event will showcase energy-efficient vehicles (EEVs) including hybrid and electric models (e.g. Tesla, Nissan Leaf, Chevy Volt, Honda Civic Hybrid, The University of Akron’s Electric Race Car and 鶹ý's Zero Emission Vehicle). Children and adults are encouraged to “Touch-an-EEV”. Local public and bike transportation options will also be highlighted and a free activity for kids provided by the 鶹ý Child Development Center.
PARKING: Parking is free in the Rockwell Hall R1 parking lot, off S. Lincoln Street at 515 Hilltop Drive. Parking is also available at May Prentice House Parking R-17 lot visitor spots available for use after restricted hours. Kent Cycle will lead an estimated three mile guided bicycle tour on September 28, 2019 of various Kent Green Energy Ohio Tour Sites. Tour sites are part of the 3rd Kent Green Energy Ohio Tour, which is part of the statewide 17th Annual Green Energy Ohio Tour. This event is coordinated by 鶹ý Office of Sustainability, City of Kent Sustainability Commission, and Green Energy Ohio.
The Kent Cycle Guided Bike Tour will start at Kent Cycle at 115 Lake Street, Kent on Saturday September 28 at noon with an estimated time of 1.5 hours.
You must bring your own bicycle for the bike tour. Helmets and water bottles are encouraged.
