They are all part of the computer science industry, an industry that Ohio wants to see grow. The Ohio Department of Higher Education hopes to address a teaching gap through a recently announced funding opportunity called Teach CS.  Kent State was one of the recent awardees, receiving a million-dollar grant to develop KSU TeachCS.

A celebration of life event was held today on the campus of Cleveland State University to honor the late Michael Schwartz, who was a past university president of Kent State and Cleveland State.

However, this move is creating hurdles for students on college campuses across the state and making waves in what is expected to be an incredibly contentious election year.
