LaunchNET Kent State is a co-curricular, cross-campus program that supports students, alumni, staff and faculty interested in entrepreneurship and innovation through advising, events, and connections to the greater Northeast Ohio community. The LaunchNET office - located in the Burton D. Morgan Foundation Entrepreneurship Suite on the second floor of the - is staffed with experienced entrepreneurs who guide clients from idea to implementation, provide a sounding board for questions and concerns, and work with offices across campus to engage students in entrepreneurial thinking, innovative mindset, creative collaboration, and venture creation.

Our NEH Summer Institute “What is Gained in Translation: Learning How to Read Translated Texts” (June 4-24, 2017) is dedicated to the study of texts in translation as a way to develop cross-cultural literacy and to explore what can be gained by addressing issues of translation in the classroom. For scholars in the Humanities and Social Sciences who work with translated texts, this institute will provide the theoretical models and applications developed through Translation Studies that will enable them to exploit translation as a teachable moment.
