Faculty Writing Groups
Beginning in the summer of 2018, The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) began offering an exciting opportunity to support all faculty to remain on-track with their writing goals throughout each semester.
Faculty writing groups help faculty maintain as well as increase writing productivity and also help faculty overcome writing barriers (Jensen, 2017; Sword, 2017; Geller and Eodice, 2013). Informal, yet dedicated Faculty Writing Groups are formed each semester. These groups are for faculty looking for a quiet space for writing as well as support at any phase in writing that moves you from idea to publication.
Writing groups this Fall are:
- Wednesdays (in-person) 8:00am - 10:00am
- Thursdays (in-person) 3:30pm - 5:30pm
- Fridays (virtually, Teams) 11:30am - 1:30pm
The sign-up link is included in the CTL newsletters that are sent at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters. Faculty may join a writing group at any point during the semester. If you wish to join a writing group after the semester has started or if you have any questions about the writing groups or you would like to request an additional session, please contact the Center for Teaching and Learning, ctl@kent.edu or 330-672-1887.
