Christine Hudak, Ph.D., School of Library and Information Science, has been accepted as a contributing author to the book (tentatively) titled The Handbook of Continuing Professional Development for the Health IT Professional, to be published by HIMSS in 2017. Her chapter, “The Many Facets of Continuing Education,” will appear in the section on “The Importance of Lifelong Learning.”

After making a name for herself in the fashion industry, Molly Langenstein, the general business manager of Macy’s Ready to Wear, is returning home to her alma mater. Ms. Langenstein was recently announced as the 鶹ý Fashion School’s 2018 Hall of Fame inductee. Ms.

Starting at 11 a.m. on April 26, Kent State will hold several events across campus in celebration of Arbor Day that commemorate its environmentally friendly efforts.
In order to perform necessary maintenance on the boilers, steam transmission systems and electrical distribution systems, the Kent Campus Power Plant will be shut down beginning Sunday, May 13, at 12:01 a.m. The shutdown is expected to be completed Sunday, May 20, at 11:59 p.m. Because of the steam shutdown, most campus buildings will not have hot water to sinks and showers, heat and/or air conditioning.
