Spring semester will see the continuation of construction on and around the Kent Campus, so do not be surprised to see traffic cones and construction fences. Below is a brief update on the major construction projects that may impact your travel.
You are invited to nominate a 鶹ý faculty member for the 2016 Outstanding Research and Scholarship Award. Sponsored by the University Research Council and the Division of Research and Sponsored Programs, this award is intended to honor Kent State’s exceptional researchers and scholars. The awardees will be selected based on the quality of research and scholarship and its impact on society. A ceremony and reception will be held on Thursday, April 19, at 4 p.m. as part of Faculty Appreciation Week.
Individuals who need help in preparing their 2015 income tax return may be eligible for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program at 鶹ý. A national program, VITA offers tax preparation assistance to low- to moderate-income taxpayers. The service is free to students, employees and community members who meet the eligibility requirements.

鶹ý’s College of Podiatric Medicine will celebrate its centennial anniversary in 2016. Located in Independence, Ohio, it is one of nine accredited podiatry colleges in the United States and is a four-year, graduate-level medical college, granting the degree of Doctor of Podiatric Medicine.
