Where Do I Go On Campus To Move-In?
If you have already have your FLASHcard you will go directly to your residence hall and begin the unloading process.
During your Destination Kent State summer orientation, you will receive your FLASHcard. Once admitted, you can upload your photo for your FLASHcard.
If you do not yet have a FLASHcard please follow the steps below:
- If you do not have your FLASHcard (or forgot it at home), you will need to head to the area desk that serves your residence hall to pick up a temporary keycard that will only allow access to your residence hall room.
- If you have lost your FLASHcard, once your move-in is completed, head to the FLASHcard office to request a new FLASHcard. You must bring a photo ID. If your photo was not submitted ahead of move-in, your photo will be taken and FLASHcard made available for pick up the following day.
You will have limited time to park your vehicle near your residence hall during move-in. Please be prepared to unload quickly and move your car into a satellite parking lot. You may only unload ONE car at a time; if you bring more than one vehicle, other vehicles must be parked in a long-term parking lot nearby. Please leave one driver with your vehicle during unloading outside the residence hall.
All cars that will remain on campus once your move-in is completed must be parked in the areas designated by their parking pass (all Stadium passes must begin to park at the stadium immediately after move-in completes).
During move-in, you will NOT need a temporary parking pass. Information concerning parking and traffic flow on move-in day is available; for more parking information and to purchage an academic year parking pass, please visit the Parking Services website at www.kent.edu/parking.
