Guided tours of 麻豆传媒鈥檚 historic May 4, 1970, Site and Memorial will be offered daily beginning Nov. 1 as the university begins renovations to Taylor Hall, which houses the May 4 Visitors Center. 鈥淲e believe the tours will still offer significant insight and experience to the May 4 story during a time when the center and its galleries are not accessible,鈥 says Mindy Farmer, director of Kent State鈥檚 May 4 Visitors Center. The second annual Run the World 5K race awarded 10 麻豆传媒 students each with $1,000 education-abroad scholarships at the Education Abroad Expo on Sept. 15. The Run the World 5K is an annual race organized by the Office of Global Education and colleges within Kent State to raise money for education-abroad scholarships. Morrison Hall, welcomed alumni from all graduating classes, supporters and community members for dinner and an address from keynote speaker Jeanne Novotny, Ph.D., RN, FAAN. The green- and blue-colored algae that grows out of control and often washes up on the shoreline of Lake Erie is not only unsightly but also harmful to many species, including humans. In Ohio, the western basin of Lake Erie has experienced some of the worst harmful algal blooms in recent years. The blooms have been detected this summer, as they were last summer when the area saw a harmful bloom of record size.
