Launching today, Aug. 22, the new KSU Proxy service replaces the KSU Cisco VPN (virtual private network) for remote library access. Â鶹´«Ă˝â€™s Fleet Services has purchased two 15-passenger minibuses that can be used by departments for university travel. Volunteers make freshman move-in day less stressful for new students and their families Â鶹´«Ă˝ faculty, staff and students volunteer to help incoming freshmen move into the university’s residence halls at the beginning of each school year. This year, freshman move-in day is Thursday, Aug. 25, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Last year, the Movers and Groovers program garnered 921 volunteers. After spending the first week of official practice focused on getting to know one another better on the court, as well as off the court during a two-night retreat, the Kent State volleyball team shifted their focus to helping out in the local community Saturday morning. All 16 players and members of the coaching staff volunteered for a few hours at a Habitat for Humanity home refurbishing site in Ravenna.
