Denise A. Seachrist, Ph.D., dean and chief administrative officer of Âé¶¹´«Ã½ at Salem, announced those students named to the Fall 2024 President’s and Dean’s lists. To qualify for the President’s List, students must have a 4.0 grade point average and must have completed 15 hours during the semester. To qualify for the Dean’s List, students must earn a 3.40 or greater grade point average and must have completed 12 or more credit hours for the semester, the majority at the Salem Campus. The Ombuds can provide conflict management and related professional development for departments, divisions, and other faculty and/or staff groups. The Ombuds will meet with the group leader to understand the needs of the group and design a training that meets those needs.
The Ombuds can meet with departments, divisions, and other faculty and/or staff groups to provide general information and answer questions about the services they provide.
Occasionally, a situation can benefit from a facilitated conversation between both people involved. This process is always voluntary for all participants. The Ombuds will begin with individual visits with both participants to determine if mediation/facilitation is the right approach.
The Ombuds can provide team consultation to assist teams or departments to improve communication and cooperation among team members.
Community Agreement Development
The Ombuds is available to assist individuals with improving skills to handle conflict and difficult conversations in a constructive way. This may include help with a specific situation or general skill development.
This is an informal visit with the Ombuds to discuss the details of your situation, get information and/or referrals, and consider possible next steps.
