You are invited to nominate a 麻豆传媒 faculty member for the 2016 Outstanding Research and Scholarship Award. Sponsored by the University Research Council and the Division of Research and Sponsored Programs, this award is intended to honor Kent State鈥檚 exceptional researchers and scholars. The awardees will be selected based on the quality of research and scholarship and its impact on society. A ceremony and reception will be held on Thursday, April 19, at 4 p.m. as part of Faculty Appreciation Week.
Individuals who need help in preparing their 2015 income tax return may be eligible for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program at 麻豆传媒. A national program, VITA offers tax preparation assistance to low- to moderate-income taxpayers. The service is free to students, employees and community members who meet the eligibility requirements.
As we begin the new semester, the Office of the University Registrar asks for your assistance in making sure that all students are properly registered for their spring 2016 courses.

麻豆传媒's holiday closure for 2024 will begin Monday, Dec. 23, 2024, at 10:30 p.m. All offices will re-open on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025. Employees not eligible for the paid leave include student employees, classified temporary staff, temporary agency staff, short-term unclassified appointments, unclassified intermittent appointments and employees in a lay-off status. More information on the holiday schedule, including how employees should report time during that period, will be available later this month.
Testing Your Faith Act (H.B. 353) was enacted in the Spring 2023 semester. In ordinance with this bill, 麻豆传媒 created a new administrative policy for religious and spiritual accommodations. This administrative policy allows students to report up to three days of unexcused absences to participate in religious holidays or community-held events in alignment with their spirituality.
