The �鶹��ý Alumni Association is accepting nominations from dynamic alumni who are interested in serving on its governing board. The National Board of Directors is an exciting group of Kent State graduates who volunteer their time to strengthen the bond between alumni and �鶹��ý.

A small class assignment in college led to an off-Broadway debut for �鶹��ý musical theatre alumnus Scott Miesse, ’15, who will be premiering his self-written play titled “Abnormal” in January 2020.

�鶹��ý’s architecture and interior design graduates build such impressive skills during their studies in the College of Architecture and Environmental Design that in a national survey, hiring professionals rank them among the most-hired.

As the champagne flowed Oct. 15 in the clubhouse of the National League Champion Washington Nationals, there was a �鶹��ý connection in the middle of the frenzy that capped the team’s first trip to the World Series.

The �鶹��ý Alumni Association is proud to announce its 2019 Alumni Award recipients. Recipients are chosen based on their exceptional contributions in their chosen profession, in their communities and at Kent State.

Last year, �鶹��ý celebrated 100 years of Homecoming. This year, the university starts the next century of Kent State Homecoming celebrations with a new president leading the institution.

�鶹��ý will hold the 49th commemoration of the historic events of May 4, 1970, where protesting students, observers and soldiers gathered on that fateful day when the Ohio National Guard shot and killed four students and wounded nine others on the Kent Campus. 

Ronda McCaskey and Caitlyn Horvath are best friends who went through the nursing program together and graduated one year apart with Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degrees from �鶹��ý at Geauga. Now they are both intensive care nurses. But they also happen to be mother and daughter.
