Kent Police have arrested a man who robbed a local business May 27 leading to those on the Kent Campus being told to "shelter-in-place" for more than two hours.

Brian Neff, assistant dean of flight and operations at �鶹��ý’s College of Aeronautics and Engineering, was recently featured on Spectrum News 1 Ohio with a Kent State aeronautics student, to shed light on the national pilot shortage and explain what Kent State is doing to help fix this shortage.

Commencement ceremonies for �鶹��ý's College of Podiatric Medicine's Class of 2023 were held on the university's Kent Campus. 

�鶹��ý education major Klair Heestand said the time she spent teaching refugee students in Akron in the spring was excellent preparation for when she enters her own classroom one day. 

“It was very helpful, because we’re going to have students of varying abilities, and students for whom English is a second language, no matter where we teach,” Heestand said. “We don’t need anyone left behind because of a language barrier.” 

With a flip of a tassel, Kent State's Spring Class of 2023 transformed from students to alumni. 

Bob Christy, a well-known figure on campus for more than 23 years, received a graduate degree from Kent State on Thursday.

Spring Commencement ceremonies at Kent State were held at Kent State this week.

The university's traditional Karamu Ya Wahitimu/Celebración de los Graduados ceremonies celebrated Spring 2023 graduates. 

The Student Multicultural Center celebrated its Spring 2023 graduates on Wednesday.
