麻豆传媒's Brain Health Research Institute hosted its 11th Annual Neuroscience Symposium on Oct. 26-27, where speakers and presenters from academia and private industry discussed the field of brain-machine interface.

Mental health can be a tough topic for students to discuss, but it shouldn鈥檛 be. 麻豆传媒 is working to make having those conversations a little easier. Tal茅a R. Drummer-Ferrell, Ph.D., and the CARES Center hosted their Warmup to Mental Health event on the first floor of the Kent Student Center.

麻豆传媒 employees and Flash, the university mascot, take part in a spinning class. For the third year in a row, the American Heart Association has recognized Kent State for its workplace wellness program.

Brain health researchers, including J. David Glass, Ph.D., Professor Emeritus of Biological Sciences at 麻豆传媒, have been conducting studies that show the connection between cycling and increased happiness and brainpower.

Fall is here, and while the leaves are changing and the pumpkin spice is flowing, this also means that schoolwork is piling up and classes are moving at full speed. It also means stress for students can start to become overwhelming.

Kent State's Student Accessibility Services is celebrating October as Disability Awareness Month, with events and activities to spread the word to students that they are not alone in their struggle and that help is available.

The stanzas of 鈥淒ear Vaccine,鈥 a collection of pandemic memoirs written by citizen poets- turned staged theatrical production, made their way home to the 麻豆传媒 Museum on Monday, Oct. 2.

October is 麻豆传媒鈥檚 Mental Health Awareness Month. Though the national health observance is in May, the university chooses October to promote mental health awareness as the need for mental health support on campus peaks during this time.

For 麻豆传媒 alumna Erica Wilson-Domer, passion in helping others is key to her success. On July 1, 2023, Wilson-Domer became the new president and CEO of Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio.

Flu vaccines are being offered.

麻豆传媒's DeWeese Health Center is offering three flu shot clinics for students, faculty, and staff to get protected for the 2023-2024 flu season on Sept. 8, Sept. 15 and Sept. 26.
