Chris Post Selected as 2024 Speaker for Kent State’s Jerry M. Lewis May 4 Lecture Series
The lecture series created in 2022 to honor the legacy of Â鶹´«Ã½ Professor Emeritus of Sociology Jerry M. Lewis, Ph.D., will feature Professor of Geography Chris Post, Ph.D., presenting “Developing and Interpreting the Wounded Student Markers at Kent State†as this year’s selected speaker. The Jerry M. Lewis May 4 Lecture Series and Luncheon will be held on May 3.

Â鶹´«Ã½ is one of the top undergraduate schools for game design studies according to ®. The education services company features Kent State, with animation game design programs through the College of Applied and Technical Studies at the Kent, Stark and Tuscarawas campuses, on its 15th annual ranking list, Top 50 Undergraduate Schools for Game Design for 2024.

Grants Provide Engineering Technology Students with High-Tech Electronic Equipment
Engineering technology students at Â鶹´«Ã½ at Tuscarawas now have access to new state-of-the-art portable electronic equipment.
The high-tech equipment was purchased through the Governor’s Office of Appalachia (GOA) and the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) Workforce Development Grant for $182,000 with funding from Ohio Mid-Eastern Governments Association (OMEGA), Tuscarawas County Commissioners, Â鶹´«Ã½, Buckeye Career Center, OhioMeansJobs, Tuscarawas County Chamber of Commerce, and the Tuscarawas County Foundation.

Talking About Your Animation
The 2023 Animation School Rankings have been released, and the Â鶹´«Ã½ College of Applied and Technical Studies Animation Game Design (AGD) program is ranked 16th nationally and 20th in the Midwest. This is the 12th year for the annual rankings for animation programs. Nearly 200 schools with animation programs from across the country were considered.
Kent State Selects Peggy Shadduck to Serve as New Vice President for Regional Campuses and Dean of the College of Applied and Technical Studies
Â鶹´«Ã½ has named Margaret (Peggy) Shadduck, Ph.D., of Richardson, Texas, as its new vice president for Regional Campuses and dean of the College of Applied and Technical Studies. Shadduck was selected following a national search.
