Artificial intelligence is a reality for many industries and individuals. We use it for fun, in business and in the classroom. The question of how to use it appropriately drove some new revisions to �鶹��ý’s administrative policies.

Campus and community came together to share a once-in-a-lifetime event at �鶹��ý. 

It was a party 218 years in the making.

The thousands of people who came to �鶹��ý on April 8 to witness the total solar eclipse did not leave disappointed by the celestial show, the likes of which had not been seen in Kent, Ohio since 1806.

More than 300 student presenters displayed their research and creativity on Friday, April 5, at the Undergraduate Symposium on Research, Scholarship and Creative Endeavors.

As the 2024 total solar eclipse passes over Kent, Ohio, on Monday, April 8, �鶹��ý students, faculty and staff have the unique opportunity to witness an optical illusion known as the Purkinje effect.

�鶹��ý Culinary Services is embracing gastronomic diversity with its annual Food Truck Series, stationed outside the library and student center at Risman Plaza. The community food trucks are available to students, staff, faculty and the Kent community visiting campus.  

Kent State gymnasts reached new heights this semester as they sweep competitions and set new team records.

The brightly colored blue and gold Mobile Flashes Wellness Unit from �鶹��ý’s College of Public Health will be hitting the streets to help bring public health services to the people of northeast Ohio.

This Flash Friday we want you to meet Leah Benson, a senior aerospace engineering major from Hermitage, Pennsylvania.

After the eclipse, Flashes can do their part to promote sustainability  by recycling their eclipse glasses for use by viewers of future eclipses around the world. 

�鶹��ý at Geauga provided treats, activities and therapy dogs to help students de-stress before midterms this semester.

The �鶹��ý Spring Food Truck Series begins on Risman Plaza April 3 and continues each Wednesday through May 1. 

On May 3-4, 2024, �鶹��ý will hold its annual commemoration honoring the memory of May 4, 1970, a tragic day when the Ohio National Guard fired on Kent State students during an anti-war protest on campus, killing four students, wounding nine others and sparking a turning point in American history.  

Kent State’s Carol Robinson, Ph.D., will discuss eclipse myths and folklore during her presentation “All I Want to Know is: Where Did the Sun Go? The Total Eclipse of the Sun in Myths and Folklore.”
