On the eve of Homecoming, people all over campus are getting ready for the weekend celebration. 

EHHS alumnus Erica Maxwell and her teenage daughter, Jessica Alexander, visited the Child Development Center to read from their newly published book, “Beauty With a Birthmark.”

The “Pride in Kent'' exhibition displays 26 pieces of art created by 11 different LGBTQ+ members and allies. The exhibition will be on display during Main Street Kent’s Rainbow Weekend, Oct. 7 and 8.

Bobby Selvaggio, associate professor in the School of Music and director of the jazz studies program, has a storied musical resume. But what he is most proud of are the lessons he can pass on to his students.

Fashion students from Kent State and IFA Paris collaborated to present their first runway show during New York Fashion Week 2022.

Recipients are selected based on their exceptional professional and civic contributions and for their outstanding support of the university. The 2022 Alumni Award recipients include six alumni and one student.

The United Nations describes International Day of Peace as a day devoted to strengthening the ideas of peace through observing 24 hours of nonviolence and cease-fire. At Kent State, students, faculty, staff and alumni celebrated the day with an international soccer tournament.

A variety of food trucks gather in front of the University Library on Wednesdays to supply students, faculty and staff passing by with a quick bite to eat. And the Kent State community is taking advantage of it.

Ben Campbell spoke on the topic of how the production of the DHEA/DHEAS and GLUD2 hormones plays a role in brain development in humans and other species, a process known as “adrenarche.” 

It’s time to wear blue and gold as the �鶹��ý Golden Flashes family reunites for Homecoming 2022. Kent State will celebrate Homecoming with activities and events leading up to the Oct. 1 Homecoming Parade and Homecoming football game.

Black Women Bosses (BWB) is designed to help participants learn leadership and business skills, gain community and practice self-care and confidence as an entrepreneur.

A substantial amount of time and effort goes into the design of health care environments. In an emergency department, you need optimal conditions to save lives. The Center for Health and Design has awarded Sara Bayramzadeh, assistant professor and Elliot Professor in Health Care Design, the Touchstone Award – Gold Category for conceptual design.

�鶹��ý’s commitment to diversity and inclusion has been recognized with the 2022 Higher Education Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award by INSIGHT Into Diversity magazine, the oldest and largest diversity-focused publication in higher education. The annual award recognizes U.S. colleges and universities that demonstrate an outstanding commitment to diversity and inclusion.
