鶹ý at Stark announces the appointment of Faith Sheaffer-Polen as the new director of The Corporate University

Faith Sheaffer-Polen has been named the new director of The Corporate University at 鶹ý at Stark鶹ý at Stark announces the appointment of Faith Sheaffer-Polen as the new director of The Corporate University.

Sheaffer-Polen will manage the operations of The Corporate University, which builds consultative relationships with organizations in Stark County, southern Summit and eastern Wayne counties, providing high-quality training, consulting and interventions that align with each company’s unique strategy. These services include learning and development experiences in supervision, management, critical thinking, project management, entrepreneurship, executive assistant training, strategic leadership experience, online survey and research services, as well as Lean Six Sigma and the SHRM Learning System.

Additionally, Sheaffer-Polen will oversee the Small Business Development Center, a grant-funded program to assist small business owners and managers through organizational development counseling.

She is excited to continue embracing her zeal for employee development at 鶹ý.

“I look forward to educating companies and individuals on the strategies that will help them attract and retain talent, compete in this globalized economy and adjust to a constantly changing market,” says Sheaffer-Polen.

Under her leadership, The Corporate University will increase its responsiveness to the region’s professional needs by providing timely and relevant training and support through the department’s revolutionary business model, the Knowledge Network.

Most recently, Sheaffer-Polen was employed as a senior consultant for the talent coaching firm, CareerCurve. Her skills in one-on-one career counseling, group facilitation and organizational development will be a great asset in her new role. Previous positions include employment at The University of Akron, Spherion Staffing and Bank One.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from 鶹ý and a master’s degree in industrial/organizational psychology from The University of Akron. A resident of Alliance, Sheaffer-Polen is involved in the local community. She is on the leadership team of the North Canton Executive Networking Group, serves as a member of several professional organizations, including the Stark County Human Resources Association, the American Society for Training and Development and the Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychologists.
