John Garofalo, of Sagamore Hills, Ohio, continues his role as president of �鶹��ý’s Alumni Association National Board of Directors. Garofalo is vice president of community investment for the Akron Community Foundation. He earned a Bachelor of Science in community health education in 1987 and a Master of Education in health education in 1993 from Kent State.

The focus of this year's Poynter Kent State Media Ethics Workshop will reflect upon the significance of fact-checking, polling and anti-gender bias in political reporting at the eighth annual event at �鶹��ý's Franklin Hall on Thursday, Sept. 20.

The Small Business Development Center at �鶹��ý at Stark and the Stark Development Board are proud to announce the Entrepreneur Experience, a series of events and seminars to encourage the professional practices of entrepreneurs at all levels. �鶹��ý and the full-time, tenure-track faculty unit of the American Association of University Professors-Kent State Chapter (AAUP-KSU) are pleased to announce that a new, three-year collective bargaining agreement has been ratified. The �鶹��ý Board of Trustees held a special board meeting last week in Independence, Ohio, at the university’s new College of Podiatric Medicine to complete the ratification process for a successor collective bargaining agreement for tenure-track and tenured faculty. The Board unanimously approved the new contract.
