鶹ý’s Division of Academic Affairs is shaping a new three- to five-year strategic plan with the help of Kent State faculty, staff, students and administrators. Feedback from in-person round-table discussions plus an online discussion board will be used to guide the plan.
Seven round-table discussions will be held on the Kent Campus, and one discussion will be held on each Regional Campus.
“At the round tables, faculty, students, staff and administrators will have the opportunity to do one of several things,” says Stanley Wearden, Ph.D., dean of the College of Communication and Information and project co-chair:
- They can offer oral comments, which will be recorded anonymously by the committee members.
- They can use the laptops available at each event to type in their comments, also anonymously.
- They can learn how to use the 鶹ý “Our Voices” discussion board on the Civic Commons website and record their comments there.
“The more feedback we receive from faculty, students, staff and administrators, the better job the committee will be able to do in drafting the strategic plan,” says Wearden. “When I mention faculty, the committee is hoping for feedback from all faculty – tenured, tenure-track, full-time nontenure-track and adjunct faculty,” says Wearden.
