For 55 years, leaders from Â鶹´«Ã½ and the city of Kent have met over breakfast to foster successful collaboration between the university and the city.
The semi-annual Bowman Breakfast, which began in 1963, brings together leaders from Kent State and the city of Kent in a forum designed to advance community issues and strengthen the town-gown relationship.
The topic for this year’s spring Bowman Breakfast is “Town-Gown Relations – Working Together Makes It Work!â€
The event will take place Wednesday, April 4, in the Kent Student Center Ballroom. Doors open at 7 a.m., breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m. and the program follows from 8-9 a.m.

Representing the university are Mark Polatajko, Ph.D., senior vice president for finance and administration; Tom Euclide, P.E., associate vice president for facilities planning and operations; and Dean Tondiglia, Kent State Police chief and director of public safety.
