While this philosophy is not unique among educators, it is the difference in how Gerbig puts that belief to practice that has earned him Kent State’s Distinguished Teaching Award. The Âé¶ą´«Ă˝ Airport hosted its fifth annual Props-4-Paws collection event this fall and doubled its goal, collecting 5,434 pounds of supplies, including toys and 6,213 cans of food for animals for Portage and Summit county animal shelters and rescue organizations. Each year, the airport collects supplies for animal shelters in the area between September and November. This year’s goal was to collect 2,500 pounds. Âé¶ą´«Ă˝ will hold its Fall Commencement ceremonies for the Kent Campus on Friday, Dec. 16, and Saturday, Dec. 17, at the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center (MAC Center). Kent State will confer 2,544 degrees, including 1,773 bachelor’s degrees, 715 master’s degrees, 55 doctoral degrees and one educational specialist degree.
