Progress continues on the development of a comprehensive facilities master plan for Â鶹´«Ã½. Representatives from SmithGroupJJR, the consultant selected for development of the master plan, will provide an update on the planning process and share emerging themes of the plan at two open sessions on Monday, Oct. 2.
The Â鶹´«Ã½ Office of Sustainability will participate in the stadium waste reduction and recycling competition during the Sept. 30 football game against the University at Buffalo at 3:30 p.m. at Dix Stadium.
The national competition between other colleges and universities is an initiative to promote waste reduction and recycling at home football and basketball games. Schools track the waste and recycling that day and report it to the national Game Day Challenge officials.
The Â鶹´«Ã½ Women’s Center will offer digital mammogram screenings to qualified Kent State employees, spouses and students on Oct. 9-12. The mammograms will be held at DeWeese Health Center, Room 135, on the Kent Campus.
Each participant’s health insurance will be billed, or participants may choose to self-pay.
A complete screening will take approximately 15 minutes and will be provided by Women’s Diagnostic Center, which will use upgraded digital technology.

Online final grading for fall 2017 First 5 Weeks (F1) begins Thursday, Sept. 28, via FlashFAST. Grading also is now available for any fall 2017 course section that was flexibly scheduled. The deadline for grading submission is midnight on Tuesday, Oct. 3. Any final grades for fall 2017 courses not reported in FlashFAST by the grades processing deadline will have to be submitted using the Grade Change Workflow. These fall 2017 courses will be available in the Workflow on Thursday, Oct. 5.

Testing Your Faith Act (H.B. 353) was enacted in the Spring 2023 semester. In ordinance with this bill, Â鶹´«Ã½ created a new administrative policy for religious and spiritual accommodations. This administrative policy allows students to report up to three days of unexcused absences to participate in religious holidays or community-held events in alignment with their spirituality.
