Â鶹´«Ã½ alumna Roe Green admits she’s counting down the days to May 12. That’s the day she’ll both deliver the spring commencement address and receive a special honor after the Kent State Board of Trustees approved awarding her a Doctor of Humane Letters, an honorary degree.

The first-ever Day of Giving raised needed funds from more than 350 alumni, friends and partners in just 24 hours. The blue and gold community came together in support of a variety of scholarships as part of the university’s Forever Brighter comprehensive campaign.
