Flash, Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s mascot, celebrates Kent State’s 112th birthday and the university’s first-ever Day of Giving with a thank you to donors.

The first-ever Day of Giving raised needed funds from more than 350 alumni, friends and partners in just 24 hours. The blue and gold community came together in support of a variety of scholarships as part of the university’s Forever Brighter comprehensive campaign.

Patrick is currently completing his last semester in his Master of Engineering Technology in Mechanical Engineering degree. Once he graduates, he will be moving to Nevada to work at Tesla as a Control Systems Engineer, a job he was able to obtain through the network he created at KSU.

CAE: What advice do you have for current students?

BW: Enjoy your experience at Kent State while it lasts. It is a small amount of time that will have an impact on you for the rest of your life.

Young MDJ alumni have focused much of their professional careers on the pandemic, mostly with a Northeast Ohio angle — not just on case numbers or other statistics, but also on the effects on the economy, businesses and the healthcare industry.
