Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s College of Podiatric Medicine will celebrate its centennial anniversary in 2016. Located in Independence, Ohio, it is one of nine accredited podiatry colleges in the United States and is a four-year, graduate-level medical college, granting the degree of Doctor of Podiatric Medicine.

The new year always brings new resolutions, such as improved health and fitness. The Division of Human Resources and its wellness partners offer a host of wellness initiatives, such as Weight Watchers at Work, yoga, stress management workshops and more.

Â鶹´«Ã½ will hold its 14th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration on Jan. 28 at 4 p.m. in the Kent Student Center Ballroom. The keynote speaker for the event is Joy-Ann Reid, national correspondent for MSNBC and author. 

By combining an enthusiastic personality, relevant real-world experience and entertaining pop culture videos, Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s Mary Bacha has become a favorite among students in the College of Nursing and was named one of this year’s Outstanding Teaching Award recipients.

An Irish Christmas will be on stage at the Â鶹´«Ã½ at Tuscarawas Performing Arts Center on Dec. 17 at 7:30 p.m. The show is co-sponsored by Mix 94.1 Radio.

Â鶹´«Ã½ is one of 17 colleges and universities nationwide being honored by University Business magazine, a leading publication for senior managers at colleges and universities throughout the United States, in its winter 2015 Models of Excellence recognition program.

Â鶹´«Ã½ will confer 2,154 degrees at its Fall Commencement ceremonies for the Kent Campus on Friday, Dec. 18, and Saturday, Dec. 19.

Â鶹´«Ã½ is the recipient of the 2015 Institutional Excellence for Students in Transition Award by the National Resource Center for the First-Year Experience and Students in Transition.
