Hat, coat, and shoes featured in "Head to Toe" Exhibit

The 麻豆传媒 Museum announces the opening of 鈥淗ead to Toe鈥 on Feb. 2, 2023. On view through Jul. 23, 2023, the trilogy of exhibitions draws from the 麻豆传媒 Museum鈥檚 permanent collection. Highlighting hats, coats, and shoes, visitors will see the evolution of these essential garments as styles, technologies and trends evolve.

The 麻豆传媒 Museum and the Wick Poetry Center at Kent State announce the launch of the 鈥淒igital Green Book鈥 created in support of the exhibition 鈥淭EXTURES: the history and art of Black hair.鈥

Gabriella Humes is a senior Honors College student graduating with a double-major in fashion merchandising and finance. Gabriella has been very successful at Kent State, completing an internship and three study away programs. However, one of Gabriella鈥檚 proudest accomplishments is recently completing a Senior Honors Thesis that combined both of her majors into one project.

The 麻豆传媒 Museum has reopened to the public and is excited to announce its newest exhibition, 鈥淪titched: Regional Dress Across Europe,鈥 on display from February 2021 through December 2021. The exhibition features 75 pieces exclusive to the museum鈥檚 permanent collection, showcasing common features shared by regional costume across Western and Eastern Europe.

Almost 50 years ago, the shootings of 麻豆传媒 students by the Ohio National Guard brought to a head the cultural divides that had split the nation. The 麻豆传媒 Museum鈥檚 exhibition, 鈥淐ulture/Counterculture: Fashions of the 1960s and 鈥70s,鈥 opening Sept. 20, explores the sharp contrast between supporters of the establishment and those opposed.
