Michelle Michel, Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) student in the College of Nursing, has been instrumental in updating Summa Health System’s nurse residency program by utilizing evidence-based practice methodology. Michel explained that evidence-based practice is the process of translating research into practice.

Having recently completed her terminal nursing degree, three-time �鶹��ý College of Nursing alumna Jasmine Bonder, shared this achievement was important to her as it highlights her nursing expertise. “Each degree showcases a chapter of my life and the interests that I had back then. Obtaining my first degree only inspired me to continue to learn more,” said Bonder. “There is so much information, and I want to know it all.”  

This Women's History Month, Kent State Today is exploring different women who have made their mark on campus. Sandra Morgan, director of strategic partnerships and outreach for the College of Arts & Sciences at �鶹��ý, was appointed the honor of Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (OBE) at an investiture ceremony at the British Embassy Ambassador’s Residence in Washington, D.C.

Heather Thrush is a nontraditional student majoring in psychology at �鶹��ý at Geauga, working on research related to mental health care. She's also a competitive weightlifter.

A student chef's culinary journey to his dream took him from Cuyahoga Community College to Kent State. 

The 2023-24 academic year has been a life-changing one for Raiful Hasan, Ph.D., an assistant professor of computer science in the College of Arts and Sciences, who embarked on his first faculty position at Kent State last semester.
