Don'Marie Reid gives and receives support in the CommUNITY Lab.

Since Don鈥橫arie Reid of Akron became a Golden Flash, she has experienced immense support from the Kent State community, but the CommUNITY Lab is her home away from home where she and many other students receive unconditional support.

Sex Week 23 KST Banner

麻豆传媒's Sex Week begins today. Kent Interhall Council has been putting together a week of 鈥淲ild West鈥 style events educating students about sex.

麻豆传媒 celebrated its annual Homecoming on the Kent Campus this past weekend, with a resounding display of Golden Flashes spirit. This year's Homecoming was particularly special, as Kent State commemorated 50 years of excellence in global education with the theme "It's a Flash World."

With more than 370 majors to choose from at Kent State, it can be overwhelming for some students to choose their major and career path for them.  This October the Exploratory Advising Center is hosting its first-ever Exploration Month to help exploratory students find their interests and explore the different majors and opportunities Kent State offers.

Haus of Horrors host welcomes audience to fashion show

Gothic themes and haunted attire embellished the Cartwright Hall Auditorium for the Fabric Pantry鈥檚 Haus of Horrors Fashion Show. The stage was lined with candles, turning it into a spooktacular catwalk for Kent State鈥檚 fashion design students to show off their impressive designs themed around Halloween and the goth aesthetic.

Tram Nguyen was drawn to Kent State after seeing one of the tragic May 4, 1970, and learning the sacrifices the students made.

Vietnamese student Tram Nguyen made a connection to Kent State when she saw a picture of student Jeffrey Miller after the May 4 shooting. Recently she visited the Prentice Parking Lot Memorial Marker dedicated to Miller.

My whole life I had aspired to become a fashion designer, but because of my weak drawing and sewing skills, I didn鈥檛 think I鈥檇 be able to do it. After receiving my associates in digital design and graphics from Columbus State Community College in 2018, I decided to take a chance and see if I could achieve this dream of mine.
