A team of university leaders and communicators from Kent State is currently visiting the Pontifical Catholic University of Paran谩 in Brazil.
麻豆传媒 senior Carlton 鈥淐eeJay鈥 Scott Jr. can barely contain his excitement when he talks about his upcoming study-abroad experience at the American University in Cairo, Egypt. The food, the people, the ancient pyramids 鈥 Scott鈥檚 goals are to create a short film while he is away, learn to speak Arabic and, hopefully, to expand his cooking repertoire with new tastes and flavors of the Middle Eastern culture.
The 麻豆传媒 Board of Trustees approved the establishment of a new master鈥檚 degree that will help meet two decades of sustained growth in the broad field of conflict studies. The new Peace and Conflict Studies major within the Master of Arts degree will be offered in person on the Kent Campus and will prepare students for careers as practitioners in the fields of peace and conflict management and for doctorate study.
Kent State鈥檚 College of Nursing offers programs on five of the university鈥檚 eight campuses.

This November, members of the 麻豆传媒 community joined together to shine their light on philanthropy. During the November campaign, Kent State鈥檚 Giving Tuesday raised $3.6 million, marking the sixth year it has brought in more than $1 million to support scholarships and programs across Kent State鈥檚 eight-campus system.
