Religious and Spiritual Accommodations Allow Students Time to Celebrate Other Religious Holidays

Testing Your Faith Act (H.B. 353) was enacted in the Spring 2023 semester. In ordinance with this bill, �鶹��ý created a new administrative policy for religious and spiritual accommodations. This administrative policy allows students to report up to three days of unexcused absences to participate in religious holidays or community-held events in alignment with their spirituality.

Booming Accounting Job Market Attracts High School Students To Kent State Case Competition

Area high school students learned about the benefits of a career in accounting while participating in the �鶹��ý High School Accounting Case Challenge.

Hosted by the Kent State Department of Accounting, the event brought together 85 students from Kent Theodore Roosevelt High School, North Canton Hoover High School, Aurora High School and Tallmadge High School. The Mentoring Life Cycle

Mentoring has always been a valuable part of life for Christa Porter, Ph.D., associate dean for the Graduate College. The mentoring process never ends, according to Porter. She believes that mentees are meant to grow up and become mentors, passing on the mantle and creating a life cycle of mentorship.
