Project NEXT is a nationally funded grant project at Â鶹´«Ã½ that provides academic and career support services to undergraduate students with Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI) or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Participants receive one year of assistance, including the use of Cognitive Support Technology and vocational rehabilitation services, to help them excel academically and transition smoothly into their chosen careers.
Alumna Alexxus Sidney participated in a Human Development and Family Science study abroad program in Ireland, marking her first experience outside the United States. During the trip, she visited a primary school addressing student mental health challenges and a residential rehabilitation facility for individuals struggling with addiction. These experiences deepened her passion for mental health advocacy and clarified her desire to work in a helping profession.

The Doctor of Education degree in Interprofessional Leadership in the College of Education, Health and Human Services is an online program that promotes the study of leadership from an interprofessional perspective and can be completed in three to four years. Mackenzie Simmons was one of the first graduates of the program.
