Spring 2022
Message from the Dean
Now that the spring semester has come to an end, I am thrilled to share with you exciting news for Fall 2022. It is my pleasure to announce that a new Master of Public Health cohort in Health Policy and Management focused on population health and health insurance will start beginning August 2022 at the Â鶹´«Ã½ College of Podiatric Medicine.
This executive MPH is a great opportunity for those who are already making a difference as professionals but want to take a step forward in their career, as it is designed for executives in healthcare and health insurance implementing population-focused programs. The MPH population health and health insurance-focused program will combine the flexibility of asynchronous online courses, the enrichment of regular face-to-face interaction and the experience of an applied practice. Students will complete online courses in their own time, and have the opportunity to connect and exchange their experiences and knowledge during the in-person courses at the College of Podiatric Medicine in Independence, Ohio, five Saturdays per year. I am already looking forward to seeing what these students will achieve and the meaningful impact they will have on the health of our communities.
While I am confident that the new MPH cohort will bring even more prestige to the College of Public Health, I am proud to announce that our program was ranked in the top 100 among public institutions by U.S. News & World Report in its 2023 edition of Best Graduate Schools. I want to thank all the CPH faculty and staff for this important achievement. I am deeply grateful for your dedication and commitment to excellence.
Spring commencement welcomed 97 BSPH graduates, 36 MPH graduates and 6 MS graduates and 2 new Ph.D. to the alumni ranks. Congratulations to each and every one of you for your hard work and perseverance. You have overcome extraordinary circumstances to pursue your academic goals and now it is time for all of us to honor your accomplishments.
Finally, I’d like to encourage you to stay connected with us on social media. Our Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn pages are a great way to stay in touch and up-to-date with the CPH family throughout the year.
Thank you for all your ongoing support to the college. Wishing you a safe and enjoyable summer.
Yours in good health,
Sonia Alemagno
