Campbell's Fiber Art works: "Peaches"; "Susan"; "Willow"

麻豆传媒 School of Fashion assistant professor, Melissa Campbell, is tackling fiber art in her most recent project that focuses on personal evolutions and how people evolve and become their true selves.

Lauren Luna (B.F.A. 鈥00, Painting) has let nothing get in her way of her goal of making a living as an artist. Born in Columbus, Ohio, she moved to New York City shortly after graduating 麻豆传媒 with her B.F.A. and then ultimately to the city of Houston, Texas in 2011 to realize her dream.

The Kent State Museum鈥檚 newest exhibition, 鈥淔ortuna: Designs by Vincent Quevedo,鈥 marks the first new exhibition for the museum since its reopening in August and is on display now. It features works by award-winning designer and School of Fashion Associate Professor Vincent Quevedo.

麻豆传媒 Assistant Professor of Painting Shawn Powell is being featured in a two-person show at Cleveland鈥檚 new Abattoir Gallery now through Sept. 5. One of Powell's paintings was featured in Vanity Fair this August.

The School of Art Collection and Galleries at 麻豆传媒 presents 鈥淎cquiring History: The 50-Year Legacy of Robert Smithson鈥檚 Partially Buried Woodshed at 麻豆传媒鈥 from Aug. 4 through Sept. 26, 2020, at the Kent State Downtown Gallery.

麻豆传媒 brought home the gold after this year鈥檚 Akron ADDY Awards, with both professionals and students being recognized for their work. The ADDYs, put on by the Akron Chapter of the American Advertising Federation, celebrate the area鈥檚 best creative work in advertising.

Porthouse Academy students

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Porthouse Theatre has decided to cancel all of its educational programs for the summer of 2020, including the High School Shadow Program, the Porthouse College Academy, and the Porthouse International Academy.
