Fashion School
Gabriella Humes is a senior Honors College student graduating with a double-major in fashion merchandising and finance. Gabriella has been very successful at Kent State, completing an internship and three study away programs. However, one of Gabriella鈥檚 proudest accomplishments is recently completing a Senior Honors Thesis that combined both of her majors into one project.
The Kent Creativity Festival, sponsored by the city of Kent and the 麻豆传媒 College of the Arts, will present the annual outdoor hands-on arts festival on Saturday, Sept. 28, from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on the Lefton Esplanade between Kent State鈥檚 Rockwell Hall on Lincoln Street and downtown Kent, near Haymaker Parkway.
In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of May 4, 1970, when Ohio National Guardsmen opened fire on 麻豆传媒 students protesting the U.S. invasion of Cambodia during the Vietnam War, killing four and wounding nine, students and faculty from Kent State鈥檚 School of Fashion Design and Merchandising are bringing attention to current social issues in the new exhibition called 鈥淲earing Justice: Perspectives From KSU Fashion School Faculty and Students鈥 that is on display now at the 麻豆传媒 Museum.
Dillard鈥檚 Inc., one of the nation鈥檚 premier and largest fashion retailers, will partner with 麻豆传媒鈥檚 School of Fashion Design and Merchandising to present the school鈥檚 2019 Annual Fashion Show, FS2.
