Kent State students listen to the keynote speaker during the university's annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration in the Kent Student Center Ballroom.

A prominent political strategist, lawyer and advocate for positive change in the political process will serve as the keynote speaker at Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration. Angela Rye, principal and CEO of IMPACT Strategies, will join the university in celebrating the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. on Jan. 23 at 3:30 p.m. in the Kent Student Center Ballroom.

Summer Advantage is an educational journey based on career exploration, success coaching and academic coursework. Summer Advantage is designed to assist underrepresented students to graduate in four years and envision a path for the future by building a support network of peers and professional staff.

Kent State team wins Mission:Life international competition

A team of Kent State students took first place in the seventh annual Mission: Life international competition on November 12, which took place at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas.
